Los Lobos Grande flew
a total of 99 sorties. The last was on June 25, 1994, when Lt. Sam
Ayers piloted it on a mission against a fuel dump at Forêt de Senoches
in France and it was hit by flak while over the target. Lt. Ayers was forced
to break formation but by his skillful flying brought the aircraft back
to England and crash-landed at the RAF base at Ford, Sussex. The aircraft
was later salvaged for parts.
